The futuristic feeling is the first aspect of this video that strikes me. The introduction to the song helps increase the tension and build up to the video and I feel it also makes it seem more of a performance for the viewer therefore immediately capturing their attention. The crisp, synchronised cutting of the song helps enforce the fast tempo but also maintains the viewers attention as the footage is constantly changing. The vivid colours and costuming resemble the exuberant youth of the video and reinforce the futuristic effect which can also be seen in the neon lighting behind the artists. The main feature of this video are the numerous visual effects that have been incorporated into the footage which makes it much more energetic and vibrant, for example the chinese writing that reflects the modern style of the video. The repetition of footage and cross cutting gives the overall video a professional appeal and also makes it seem quite technological. What I love about this video are the effects which completely enhance the footage and make it much more visually interesting to watch, such as the freeze framing shots of the male background dancers.
